Meet the team
a long time Drybar Barfly, is our chief marketing officer. In this role she oversees marketing, creative, e-commerce, customer insights and analytics for the entire brand. She comes to Drybar with over 20 years of experience leading extraordinary brand performance for premier retail fashion and e-commerce companies including J. Crew, Nike Inc.’s Converse and Cole Haan subsidiaries. Sarah started her career in finance at Deloitte, which served as the early foundation of the successful left-brain meets right-brain marketing approach and customer-centric philosophy that she brings to Drybar. Sarah graduated with Honors from the University of Oregon and holds a Certified Public Accountant License. Based on her industry leadership, she was selected for the National Retail Federation’s CMO Council where she currently serves as a member. Sarah relocated from New York City to the west coast, so when she’s not building-out world class teams and strategies, you can find her on the golf course or at the beach enjoying her new California lifestyle.
is our senior vice president of product at Drybar, bringing more than a dozen years of experience as a marketing executive and an MBA from Mississippi State University to the table. Most recently, Kim was vice president of marketing at CND (a division of Revlon), where she spearheaded the introduction of Shellac, one of the most successful beauty product launches in recent history. Translation: Kim is kind of a big deal! A full-fledged globetrotter, Kim recently filled her passport on a year-long sabbatical, trekking through 25 countries across five continents. Needless to say, Kim hopes that Drybar goes global (and so do we!)
is our chief financial officer. His track record for success spans more than 25 years in the financial industry, growing consumer-oriented, multinational companies such as Wet Seal, Domino’s Pizza and CKE Restaurants. He started his career as a CPA with a Big 4 public accounting firm in Detroit, and, although he now resides in Orange County (with his wife of 20+ years, two daughters and son), he still cheers loyally for the Detroit Red Wings. He’s also a fan of family vacations, especially ones that take place on cruise ships. We plan to make sure he keeps going on them so he stays super-happy – after all, he approves our expense reports!
(aka “Mr. 4-1-1”) is the chief information officer of Drybar. He’s been an IT magician for the past 17 years, waving his wand and creating technology that makes consumers smile and cash registers ring. Prior to joining the Drybar family, Steve was vice president of information technology at Patina Restaurant Group, a $400 million corporation. As IT department head, Steve oversaw all technology and telecommunications for the enterprise, which covers 65+ locations and 7,000 employees. Steve’s resume of accomplishments is long, and his skill set is even longer: managing and developing IT staff; building and maintaining vendor relationships; negotiating and managing outsourced IT systems; and building a new and improved flux capacitor. Yep, Steve really does it all!
